Castlederg High School
A High Performing, Non-Selective, Post Primary School

Youth Club
Derg Valley Youth Club, which is based in the school’s Youth Wing, operates on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights and is open to anyone of post-primary school age. Castlederg High School pupils have the added benefit to accessing the Youth Wing during some lunchtimes.
The youth club is organized for young people to enjoy an evening with friends in a safe and friendly social environment whilst encouraging participation in a variety of activities. Youth club activities available nightly include football, unihoc, badminton, pool and table tennis, as well as additional classes in cookery and calligraphy.
Trips to watch ice hockey, Ulster rugby and theatrical shows are part of the off-site programme. Annual ski trips to Bulgaria, for both junior and senior members, are very popular. Senior members also have the opportunity of visiting Krakow in Poland with planned visits to Oscar Schindler’s factory, Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
